In 2019, we planted about 500 pots of seedlings that were collected and grown with the nursery school children.

Quercus glauca, Quercus salicina, Chinese hackberry, Nandina, Japanese laurel, Ophiopogon, Japanese lily, Sakaki, Japanese bead, etc. While looking at the plants depicted on the signs, the children played a quiz to guess which plant the 23 types of leaves planted in the schoolyard were. Then, one by one, the signs were placed around the school.

The children also had the opportunity to touch and look at the plants and learn their names.

 

It has been six months since we held the seedling planting workshop.

The seedlings grew rapidly, and before we knew it, the children had created their own unique routes and ways of playing in the playground, and we were able to see these changes.
