Ginkgo trees are said to be the trees that have survived the longest on earth and continue to live to this day. Inside those soft seeds with a slightly pungent scent are the blueprints of the trees that have grown over hundreds of millions of years. As landscape architects, we plant new trees in the same place based on our designs when we change the shape of the earth and reorganize the relationship between the environment and the creatures that surround it. I believe that we are planting the "time" that they have been connecting with us for decades or centuries. A single tiny seed may create the scenery for decades or centuries to come.
